Eric Brown will be taking over for Brian Horan, who is stepping aside to spend time with other business interests and family.
Brown brings a wealth of both hockey knowledge and administrative skill to the Mariners program. Brown has been director of programs with Greg Carter European Hockey Training, managing a wide variety of nationally recognized training camps, summer leagues, and skating clinics.
Additionally, he has been Hockey Director with the Assabet Valley Hockey Minor Hockey Association in Concord, MA.
For the past 3 years Brown has been head coach for Wayland High School. This past season he led the Warriors to the division 3 North sectional title for the first time in over 30 years.
Previously, Brown served as head hockey coach for the Fay School, and assistant coach at Concord Carlisle High School, where he was academic liaison for the team.
Brown played professional hockey in the Western Hockey League for several years, including stints with the Monroe Moccasins and Waco Wizards. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from University of Massachusetts at Lowell, where he was a four year Division I scholarship player, earning several awards.
